Babies Room

6 weeks to 2 years

The staff ratios in this room are 2 staff members and 8 children. One of the main aims of the Babies room is to create a warm, home like environment to make what is most likely the first time in care be an easy transition for both the children and the families.

The routine in the Babies Room is very flexible to cater for the individual needs of the children.  Interests of the children are observed by the staff and then facilitated through hands on experiences, group activities and language times. In this age group a major focus is also on reaching developmental milestones, self help skills and independence along with learning to interact with others.

Some of the activities that we enjoy in our room include:

• Cuddle Time
• Singing
• Dancing
• Painting
• Story Time
• Sand and water play

The Staff in our Babies Room

Lead Educator - Lyn who has a Diploma in Children's Services and has been in the industry since 1991 and at our centre since 1994

Lead Educator - Sarah who has a Diploma in Children's Services and has been in the industry since 2004 and at our centre since 2005

Educator - Darian who is studying her Certificate 3 and has been in the industry and at our centre since 2022.

Lead Educator  - Ashleigh who has a Diploma in Children's Services and has been in the industry and at our centre since 2008. (Currently on Maternity Leave)
